A Municipal Integrity Commissioner is a crucial role, maintaining ethical standards and providing a framework for ensuring transparency, accountability and integrity in municipal operations.

The Municipal Integrity Commissioner is an independent and impartial accountability officer, responsible for applying the rules governing the ethical conduct of members of municipal council and local boards.

A Municipal Integrity Officer investigates complaints, provides advice and education on the application of the code of conduct and enforces the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.
