The Township of Alberton was incorporated on May 30th, 1891.
Fire Department
The Alberton Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection services to our community. Our volunteer firefighters are highly skilled and dedicated to keeping our residents safe. We offer a range of services, including fire prevention education.
Community Development
The Clerk’s office is responsible for planning and zoning, building permits, and code enforcement. We work to ensure that new development meets the needs of our community and is in compliance with all applicable regulations. We also provide resources and guidance to help residents and businesses with their building projects.
Parks and Recreation
The Recreation Committee is responsible for planning events throughout the year. We aim to provide a variety of events for all ages. You can find more information on our park and upcoming events on our website.
Library
Alberton has partnered with the Fort Frances Public Library and Technology Centre to provide Alberton residents with free access to library services. Visit https://www.ffpltc.ca/ to learn more.
