Township of Alberton

Welcome to Alberton!

Due to the mild weather, ice conditions have deteriorated, and we have closed the rink until further notice.

A very gracious Thank You to the Alberton Recreation Committee, the Alberton Volunteer Fire Department, and all volunteers, for their participation in the Family Fun Day event held on Monday, February 19th, 2024. Special thanks to Dr. Dan Pierroz for providing the coffee and hot chocolate. The event was very well attended, and many thanks were received throughout the day and afterward. Please know that your contributions to the community are greatly appreciated, and without volunteers, these events would not be possible.

Fire Ban has been lifted

As always, anyone burning must:

  • obtain a burn permit
  • notify the Burn permit website to activate your fire permit before igniting a fire
  • have a suitable means of extinguishing the fire
  • do not ignite a fire if winds are, or may exceed 16 km/h (10 mph)

For the most up-to-date information, please go to the Public Notices webpage.

FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED in Alberton during any Restricted Fire Zone and during any local Fire Ban.  Flying lanterns are prohibited at all times.
